Our Activities

At our adult day care centre, The Homestead we pride ourselves in offering a diverse range of activities for our service users to enjoy.

We use approaches which are well established care methods and are proven to have real beneficial results for individuals with memory loss problems. We provide a variety of things to do - our guests are then encouraged to choose their own preferred activities.

Our approaches ensures guests are active and stimulated and enjoying the company of the other guests in a relaxed, encouraging and supportive environment.

Our Activities Include...

Table Games: Cards, Dominoes, Bingo, Quizzes, Board Games, Memory Games, Jigsaws

Parlour Games: Skittles, Darts, Hoopla

Gardening and use of sensory garden

Baking

Arts and Crafts: Knitting, Sewing, Card Making, Colouring and Painting.

Music: Singing, Dancing, Play-Along-Percussion

Light Exercise and Gentle Movement Group Sessions

Lounge: Newspapers, Magazines, Library Books

Beauty Parlour: Assisted Shower Facilities for Guests and Hand Massages.

All activities are led, facilitated and supported by our professional trained staff in small groups or one-to-one.

Physical Disability Support

Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Our caregivers can assist you with daily tasks such as mobility, eating, exercising, and grooming, whilst promoting independence and encouraging social interaction with others.

Care for Dementia Patients

Our experienced and highly trained caregivers provide the highest quality of care to both patients and their families. Our goal is to help individuals and their loved ones live happy and fulfilling lives.

On the Menu

The Homestead Day Services, a Staffordshire based adult day care centre provides guests with a daily menu of delicious wholesome food, served in a pleasant convivial atmosphere.

Our home cooked meals are freshly prepared in our kitchen each day. We offer choices to suit every palate and appetite and any dietary requirements are catered for by our cooks to offer nutritional and tasty meals and snacks.
